Can you defend your client’s margin number?
Upload a Shopify Orders export and get a reconciled margin report — every figure traces to the source file, every coverage gap named.
What you get, and what stays gated
Each layer is either proven from what you uploaded or held back with the source it needs named. Nothing is estimated to fill a gap.
Walk the whole ladder first, on sample data
The demo comes pre-loaded with a sample Shopify store, already reconciled. Apply the three sample files below in order and each layer unlocks in turn — every screen and every export stays marked SAMPLE throughout, because the store is synthetic.
- Sample Product Cost — unlocks Gross Margin.
- Sample 3PL / Carrier — unlocks CM before Marketing.
- Sample Shopify Payments — unlocks CM before Marketing.
These three are built from the demo store’s own orders: they unlock the ladder there, and they do not describe your costs. CM after Marketing stays gated even then -- it needs Ad Spend, which is not something you can upload yet.
What to upload
Export from Shopify Admin > Orders > Export. A .csv file — no spreadsheets.
Required columns: Name, Financial Status, Subtotal, Lineitem quantity, Lineitem price. Extra columns are fine and ignored, so a full Shopify export works unchanged.
Download a sample to compare if you want to check the shape of your file first.
