Where your data lives depends on what you do with it.
The interactive demo runs on built-in sample data.
Two paths, handled differently.
CSV files you upload are parsed in your browser. They are not sent to us unless you save a workspace.
Orders synced from a connected Shopify store are transmitted to and stored on our servers, so your figures can be recomputed when you return. We store order and line-item records: order identifiers and dates, order status and currency, the money figures we reconcile (gross sales, discounts, refunds and net sales), per-line product details (SKU, product title, quantity and unit price), and the internal reconciliation and ordering fields we use to reproduce those figures. We do not store customer names or email addresses.
Disconnecting a store deletes the order data we hold for it. Uninstalling the app has the same effect.
If you sign in and save a workspace, the source input needed to reload it — your figures, or the raw upload text — is stored to your account in our database so you can reload it later. The derived outputs (the reconciled bridge and margin ladder) are recomputed from those inputs on load and are never stored. Saved data is isolated to your account by row-level security, encrypted in transit and at rest, and you can delete any saved workspace at any time. Account sign-in processes your email and credentials for authentication only.
If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe holds your billing identity — your email and subscription status. We never send Stripe your uploaded financial data.
When you visit our marketing pages, we record the page you viewed, where you arrived from (the referring link and any campaign tags in the URL), and a coarse country and device type — server-side, in our own database. This is first-party and cookieless: no cookies, no third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, and no visitor or device fingerprint. These records carry no IP address, no account, and no name. We keep them for up to 13 months, then delete them automatically; you can ask us to delete them sooner.
If you ask us for a Margin Readiness Check, you send us your email, an optional store URL, and a list of which file types you have. We store that in our database so we can respond to you — nothing else, and only to reply. We don't sell or share it, and we don't add you to any third-party marketing tool. Ask us to delete it any time and we will.
We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, we don't set cookies to follow you, and we don't use your financial data to train any models. There is no advertising, and we don't sell your data.
